We all want to be seen, to be recognized. It’s an innate desire that Allah put within human beings.
In this snippet from a longer khutbah delivered at the International Islamic University Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur in 2022, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan further describes man’s desire to be seen and remembered.
This notion was expanded on with verses from Surah Al-Insan, and ultimately, Ustadh Nouman reminded us that the only One worth being recognised and remembered by is Allah. In the heart trembling conclusions of the surah, Allah says:
“… their Lord will give them a pure drink. [And it will be said], “Indeed, this is for you a reward, and your effort has been appreciated.” [76:21-22]
