Answer By Dr Zakir Naik,The best time to give Zakaat-ul-Fitr is in the morning before the Eid Salaah on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr but it can be given even on the eve of Eid, it can be given a couple of days in the last days of Ramadhaan based on the Hadith but the Prophet was very clear, our beloved Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, its mentioned in Sunan Abu Dawud Vol. no. 2 in the Book of Zakaat Hadith no. 1605, the Prophet said that “If Zakaat-ul-Fitr is given before the Eid Salaah of Eid-ul-Fitr is counted as Zakaat if it’s given after the Salaah of Eid-ul-Fitr, it is counted as normal charity”
