An unintentional error was made – this was a post-salat talk and my memory slipped unfortunately. Aisha (r) didn’t see the caliphate of Ibn al-Zubayr (r) as she passed away two years before that. Rather he was in Makkah and while he had power he didn’t declare himself ‘caliph’ until the death of Mu`waiyah. From Makkah he would send her gifts and money. The rest of the incident is correct.

May Allah forgive me for this lapse…we are all human in the end of the day.
