Most Muslims believe that the birthdate of the Prophet (salla Allahu alayhi wassalam) was on the 12th of Rabi al-Awwal. Yet, from a purely academic standpoint, other dates, such as the 2nd or the 10th of Rabi al-Awwal, appear to have stronger claims of support.
