The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), is described by Allah (swt) as the greatest of creation and reached a status unparalleled by any other in the past, present, and future. Yet despite his status, our beloved Prophet (ﷺ), Rahmatal lil Alameen, humbly sought our prayers to send salawat upon him during the adhan and to beg from Allah the highest rank in Paradise: al-Wasila, a rank in Paradise for only one of Allah’s servants, and despite his status, he could only “hope to be that one” (Sahih Muslim 384). His pure heart, his excellent character and his profound humility,—let it move us to tears and inspire us to increase in our sending of Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ.
