Pearls from the Qur’an (Ramadan 2017 Khatirahs Part 15): The Blessings of Zakat

In today’s Khatirah, Shaykh Dr Yasir Qadhi delivers a reminder about one of the primary pillars of Islam, which is Zakat. He also provides a number of blessings and dangers of Zakat. The word Zakat linguistically has two meanings, to purify and to grow. Allah(SWT) has commanded us more that 70 times in the Qur’an to give Zakat. By giving Zakat, one is not only purifying, but also growing that same wealth at the same time.
