In the Quran, two words are used for “heart”. Why did Allah use fu’ad in this case? The word fu’ad comes from fada which describes food when it is burning. Allah is telling us that even though we may sometimes act emotionally, we will still be held accountable for those actions and so we must be careful not to lose control of our emotions.
