This video tells us about importance of Allah’s rights in front of parents rights. This is a Short Clip of Dr Israr Ahmed English lecture.
In this video Dr Israr Ahmed the founder of TANZEEM-E-ISLAMI, Pakistan telling us that the special problem that the youth were facing at that time, there were many teenagers who accepted Islam, now even under the pressure from their parents that we have rights over our youth. Those parents said that how come you leave our religion and the religion of our ancestors. We have rights, we brought you up. So, with this appeal they are forcing those teenagers to come back to the religion of their ancestors. So, how could they ignore the rights of their parents on them. On the one side rights of Allah and on the other side rights of parents and I have told many times and we have seen in this very selected course of study at least five places in Quran Allah subhana WA Ta’ala mentions the rights of parents immediately after his own rights. In Surah Luqman Allah mentioned the rights of parents. Allah said that ” Be gratitude to me and to your parents”. So now what to do? In this regard Hazrat Sad bin Abi Waqas(R.A) example is worthful.
He was a teenager when he accepted Islam and his father had died long before mother had brought him up with utmost love affection care everything. And mother declared I will not eat anything, I will not drink anything, I will commit suicide if you doesn’t come back to the religion of his father and ancestors. So just imagine what a hard situation he was faced. But here is the clear injunction of Allah for now my rights are superior all the other rights are below my eyes.
