Allah ﷻ shows us the miraculous power of Islam to dissolve centuries-old hatreds in an instant. Imagine – rival tribes who had fought for generations suddenly embracing Islam together, now called to become brothers. How could this possibly work? The answer lies in the transformation of the Sahabah who came before them.
Those who stood with the Prophet ﷺ through Hudaybiyyah, who fought alongside him and endured persecution – they had already shed every trace of tribal identity, national pride and false superiority. Nothing flowed through their veins except لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله ﷺ. Their bond came solely from loving the Messenger ﷺ and loving those who loved him.
This is the purity Allah ﷻ wants from us – to let go of every artificial division and unite under the banner of Tawhid. When Islam enters the heart, ancient grudges must die, because true brotherhood comes only through shared faith. The Sahabah showed us it’s possible – now Allah ﷻ calls us to live that reality.
