All of us throughout the world are unified in our distress, pain and speechlessness at what is happening in Gaza.
Each one of us has the same question on our minds – what can we do to help our brothers and sisters in Gaza?
Our religion instructs us to be academic and think rationally and not act emotionally nor in haste or anger when the Ummah is afflicted with such trials.
The Prophet (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said “Being hasty (al-ajalah) is from Shaytan and acting rationally (al-ta`anni) is from Allah (subḥānahu wa ta’āla)”
For many of us our anger and emotion get the better of us and we act in haste when we see our brothers & sisters being massacred, which in fact is contrary to the methodology of our Prophet (saw).

This talk is from the Gaza fundraiser organised by AlMaghrib Institute and Islamic Relief last Sunday. Alhumdulilah we raised almost $500,000 for Gaza.
