Can We Use Surah Al-Isra to Understand What’s Happening in Palestine? | World Quran Convention

In a panel discussion titled “Studying Quran Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” at the 2023 World Quran Convention in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan and other scholars (Sharif Hasan al-Banna, Saqib Hussain, Dr Sohaib Saeed and Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Daud Bakar) explored the profound significance of the first ten verses of Surah Al-Isra and their relevance to contemporary events. They discussed how the Quran transformed the worldview and emotions of the Sahaba (companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ) and highlighted the historical context where people could seek clarification directly from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ regarding Quranic teachings. Moreover, they highlighted the legacy of Quranic study and understanding that continues to shape lives today.
