Jibril A was the first living creature to be created and brought into existence with a soul, even before Hell-Fire and Paradise were created. He is known by many names such as as Roohul Quds (Holy spirit), Roohul amin (Trustworthy spirit), An-Namus (the keeper of the secret), The first words he uttered after being brought to existence were “La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah,” There is no might nor power except with Allah. He described Jibril as having six hundred wings, with pearls, rubies and diamonds dripping from each wing. He filled up the entire horizon and was seen sitting on the throne which Allah provided for him. It is also said that the Angel Jibril carried out the destruction of the city of Prophet Lot, by using just the tip of one wing to turn the city upside-down. Along with Mika’il, Israfil, and the angel of death, Jibril is regarded as one of the four great angels of Allah. Nicknamed the “Angel Chief” for his high rank among the angels, his divine mission was to convey the revelations of Allah to the prophets, as dispatched by Allah.
