As the final maqam to be studied in this series, Maqam Kurd also has a very widely recognised tone and probably the most famous one.
It was notably made famous by the likes of Shaykh Ahmed al Ajmi in the 90s, followed by Shaykh Mishary Rashid Alafasy in the early 2000s.
According to Qari Ibrahim, it’s apparently also very loved by women!
