“Musa said, ‘My people! Enter the Holy Land which Allah has designated for you; and do not turn back and become losers!’ They said, ‘Musa! The people there are immensely powerful! And we will never enter unless they leave. But if they do leave, we will then enter!’” (Al-Maidah,5: 21-22). As for the rest, they preferred to just sit and watch like cowards, publicly confirming their disbelief and insolence to Allah. The ‘days of wandering’ began. Each day was like the one before it. The people travelled with no destination in mind. Eventually they entered the Sinai; Musa recognised it as the place where he had spoken to Allah before his great journey into Egypt had begun.
