When Lut (A) invited his people to worship Allah Alone, and forbade them from their practices and evil acts, they did not respond to
his invitation. Similarly, they did not believe in him, so much so that
not even a single person believed in him. They did not desist from their
actions, rather they persisted in what they used to do. They even went
as far as thinking about expelling their Prophet from their lands. As the years passed, he persisted in his mission but to no avail.
